In its bluntest message yet, the US administration under Barack Obama, declared that Israel is on its own if it decides to go for Iran’s nuclear program with a military operation.  Thursday, Aug. 30, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, offered the view for the third time in as many weeks that an Israeli attack would “clearly delay but probably not destroy Iran’s nuclear program.”
 

But this time, talking to journalists in London, he added impatiently: “I don't want to be complicit if they [Israel] choose to do it."

 

US Preparing for a Post-Israel Middle East?  ~ link ~ I doubt it.  However, clearly Israel is its own worst enemy.  The Arabs were long ago willing to make peace with Israel, but Israel wanted more Arab land, which meant kicking more Arabs off the land that their families owned for centuries, etc.  Israel can live in peace and prosperity but it cannot do so as an aggressive power seeking to expend its territory at the expense of its neighbors, using American and Western money/arms/blood.   Stirling    

So what is all the fuss about?

It’s a paper entitled “Preparing For A Post Israel Middle East”, an 82-page analysis that concludes that the American national interest in fundamentally at odds with that of Zionist Israel. The authors conclude that Israel is currently the greatest threat to US national interests because its nature and actions prevent normal US relations  with  Arab and  Muslim countries and, to a growing degree, the wider international community.

The study was commissioned by the US Intelligence Community comprising 16 American intelligence agencies with an annual budget in excess of $ 70 billion. The IC includes the Departments of the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Defense Intelligence Agency, Departments of Energy, Homeland Security, State, Treasure, Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency commissioned the study.

Among the many findings that Ros-Lehtenin and Kristol and other unregistered agents of Israel will likely try to exploit politically between now and November 6, by using them to attack the Obama Administration are the following:

Syria: Bomb at funeral - A family beheaded - Christians and Druzes targeted in Damascus ~ link ~ We have now gotten to the point that we Christians allow the globalists to kill Christians using our money, our resources, our military aid, in our name, and we do not even bother to speak out about it!!!  Where are all the Christian preachers and priests???  I know that many Orthodox priests have spoken out about this and a few, very few, Catholic ones, and very very few Protestant ministers.  Christians are being killed in OUR NAMES and we DO NOTHING...people wake up!  Ask your pastor to speak out in Church about this killing of Christians because of their faith by forces trained, armed, and supported by OUR TAX MONEY and OUR NATION!  We can stop this modern day slaughter of Christians if we will just get off our butts and demand an end to this of our political leadership...demand that they stop the killing of Christians in our names!!!  This can become a major issue in the American election and in the UK/France/German/etc., if we are willing to speak out against the killing of innocent Christian men, women and children!!!  Stirling      

 

A terrorist attack hit innocent Christian faithful and innocent Druzes in the area of Jaramana, a suburb of Damascus: yesterday, August 28, at 2 pm, a bomb in a car was detonated while a crowd of faithful, families, elderly people, women and children, were heading to the cemetery to bury two young people. The two had died the day before, on August 27, also victims of an IED. As the crowd, after the funeral, was accompanying the deceased to the burial, a taxi exploded causing 12 deaths (according to other sources 27), including 5 children, and injuring more than 50 people. In Jarmana about 600 thousand people live, mostly religious minorities: there are 250 thousand Christians (Assyrians, Armenians, Chaldeans, Melkites, Orthodox and other denominations), as well as Druzes and about 120 thousand Iraqi refugees, who fled to Syria in past years.
 

As reported by Fides sources in Damascus, the Christians in the suburbs of Jaramana (south-west of Damascus) and Zamalka (South-East of the city) are under pressure from armed groups jiahdisti and are terrified. Today in Zamalka a family of Armenian Christians was found murdered, and all members of the family horribly decapitated. The execution brings to mind the work of radical Islamist Salafis.
 

These acts, which affect innocent people, have generated anger and confusion in the Christian community. A leader of the Latin Catholic community of Damascus, who requested anonymity, told Fides: "These are terrorist acts: we do not know who is behind, some are groups that want to destroy Syria. Armed gangs of jihadists have begun to sow terror. The point is that even in the West, Christians are often portrayed as friends of the regime or collaborators of the repression, but it is not true. Christians are with the Syrian people and just want peace. But this propaganda gives terrorist groups, infiltrators among the rebels, a pretext to attack us."

Is there a Way Beyond Israeli Madness? ~ link ~ The problem Americans have with Israel is that the region it exists in is in the midst of a major political sea change, while Israel is frozen in time and holding on to its militarist, right-wing policies of extending settlements in the West Bank. It's a policy that harks back to the ideas of the British-trained militarist Ze’ev Jabotinsky’s Iron Wall, which is based on the idea a live-and-let-live policy between Jews and Arabs is impossible and, thus, Jews must militarily control and repress Palestinians. Here's Jabotinski:

"Zionist colonization, even the most restricted, must either be terminated or carried out in defiance of the will of the native population. This colonization can, therefore, continue and develop only under the protection of a force independent of the local population – an iron wall which the native population cannot break through. This is, in toto, our policy towards the Arabs. To formulate it any other way would only be hypocrisy."

This frame of mind is at the root of the current psychology that keeps Israel frozen in time. By extension, it's a potentially grave problem for Americans...

France and Turkey push for UN Syrian No-Fly Zone ~ link ~ And Russia and China will veto the effort.  This is simply a sell out of the national interests of France and Turkey to that of the Global Banking Cartel and the Netanyahu Zionists. A push for Western military intervention in Syria is being spearheaded by France, in alliance with Turkey. But they are backed by the United States, Britain and a regional alliance of reactionary Sunni monarchies, such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, intent on overthrowing the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in order to isolate Iran.

Yesterday a meeting of the United Nations Security Council heard an appeal by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu for the creation of a no-fly zone in Syria. While portrayed as a humanitarian initiative and a means of stemming the flood of refugees, establishing such a zone involves military intervention against Syria. Turkey criticised countries that have opposed military intervention, above all Russia and China.

Five Australian soldiers have been killed within four hours in Afghanistan, the country’s greatest loss of lives on a battlefield in a single day since the Vietnam War.

The deaths are a further blow to the claims of the Labor government, echoing those of the Obama administration, to be making progress in the decade-long occupation of Afghanistan. Nevertheless, while feigning sympathy for the men’s families, Prime Minister Julia Gillard declared there would be no early withdrawal of Australian troops.

The $3,200,000,000,000 Question: Why housing has much more to drop before it bottoms ~ link ~ It is no secret that having failed repeatedly at the trickle down aspect of QE1, QE2, Op Twist 1, Op Twist 2 (and implicitly LTRO 1 and LTRO 2) as it pertains to the man in the street (if not the man in Wall Street, who was subject to 1-2 years of subpar bonuses which have since regained their upward trendline), the last effort the central planners of the world, and the administration, have is to furiously do everything in their power to reflate housing one more time, following what is already a triple dip in home prices ever since the December 2007 start of the Second Great Depression. Which is why month after month we get seasonally fudged, conflicted and outright manipulated data from various sources how housing has bottomed, for real this time, and things are finally looking up. Remember: with any con game, the key word is confidence, and the US consumers need to regain their confidence. Sadly, as the following very simple chart and accompanying explanation, the answer to the housing question is only one: there will be no housing recovery until much more debt is eliminated. $3.2 trillion to be precise. Everything else is merely fits and spurts of upward action predicated by easy money hitting the market either directly, or via the "REO-to-Rental" stimulus program du jour, which lasts for a few months then promptly evaporates.

First Confirmed H3N2v Death in Ohio ~ link ~ The 61-year-old female Madison County resident passed away earlier this week.

The individual had direct contact with swine at the Ross County fair before becoming ill.

The above comments from the Ohio Department of Health press release describe the first confirmed H3N2v fatality.  Details, including disease onset date and underlying conditions, were withheld.



Human Clonal Expansion of July/August 2012 H3N2v ~ link ~  Today, 52 additional cases of H3N2v are being reported, bringing the total number of such infections since July 2012 in the United States to 276 across 10 states. Investigations into H3N2v cases indicate that the main risk factor for infection is exposure to pigs, mostly in fair settings; however, CDC also is reporting three instances of likely human-to-human spread of this virus during the current outbreaks.

According to CDC’s Dr. Joseph Bresee “limited human-to-human spread of this virus has been seen in the past, but the H3N2v virus has not previously -- and is not now -- spreading easily from person-to-person.” According to Bresee, “Most cases are occurring in children who are exhibiting pigs, or helping to exhibit pigs and have occurred after a lot of very close contact with pigs over a relatively long period of time.”

The above comments from the August 24, 2012 CDC update on H3N2v is not supported by the data.  The Gallia Junior County Fair outbreak involved hundreds of attendees with influenza like illness (ILI) and 20% of the cases were adults.  A rapid test on 200 of the ILI cases yielded 69 influenza A positives, indicating virtually all were infected with influenza, and further testing of a subset confirmed H3N2v in 11 of the initial cases, indicating the H3N2v is spreading easily from person-to-person.
